Thank you very nice.
At first i thought that these class makes no difference but actually it does as a matter of fact we really forced ourselves to think differently which is good for an art student to think out of the box. We have to, the more ideas we get, the more we want to do, the more we do, the more we get good at it. The class was fun so it really motivate us to go and learnt stuff that we will be needing in the future. From what i see these module helps me to think more in depth now which is good and I tend to question more now. At the end of the day its up to us wether we wanna apply what we have learnt to our daily life.
Week 10: Forced Connections again
Week 10 in class we did an exercise that allow us to make sentences from the words provided on this website called Kids Magnetic Poetry Kit its totally random but really helps if you are stuck with something or in need of fresh ideas.
We did these as a class as well, it was fun and funny. One by one each of us have to pick a word and the other will continue. You get the picture it was totally random. So yeah different people have different set of thinking. What we did in class was helpful because we have to admit that we do have fix mindset about something and these activity really helps me to think creatively!

Week 9: Forced Connections
Forced connections is the ability to combine two or more things into one. It helps to widen our perspective of things. The purpose of these activity is to see things differently. I think the idea of these is pretty interesting and kinda fun too.
We were given a choice of 6 items. I chose cup and we have to combine it with the personality given by our lecturer.
1) Passionate cup
I drew a cup with a women body sticking out as a handle it give a sense of passionate to me.
2) Sad cup
I drew a cup with lots of hole so that when water is being pour onto it looks lie the cup is bursting with tears.
3) Brave cup
For brave cup i drew a muscular hand, one flexing the other connected to the cup as a handle. People usually tend to think that one have to be muscular to be brave.
4) Creative cup
I drew a cup with weirdly shape
5) Greedy cup
I drew a cup connected to another cup and with lots of handle on it haha
6) Hardworking cup
I drew a really tiny cup so that it will literally make you hardworking by filling up once its empty.
Week 8: Analogical thinking again
In class on week 8 we have to find objects in school that have faces on them. Here are some examples of what we find..

On week 7 we learnt that one can be inspired by their surroundings no matter how dumb that object may looks to you it can be meaningful toward others. It always depend on how you look at certain things.
As a group(me,raj and taufiq) we went around school searching for shapes and forms that have been inspired by another thing.

Week 6: Lateral Thinking
'Lateral thinking is solving problems through an indirect and creative approach, using reasoning that is not immediately obvious and involving ideas that may not be obtainable by using only traditional step-by-step logic. The term was coined in 1967 by Edward de bono.' taken from google. So basically it is thinking out of the box. In class we did an exercise answering tricky questions haha we did have fun though. Here you go..
Week 5: Digital MInd-Map
So yeah on week 4 I did a mind-map with my classmates physically on piece of mahjong paper with colorful makers. This week I did a digital version of a mind map with the school iPad. I find it more useful doing a mind map physically rather than digital which allows me to relate hence it's more memorable. But doing it digitally on the app called imindmap hd save more time and papers too but you can't doodle or sketch unless you buy the paid version of it. Here you go...

Breaking rules part 2
Talking about artists that have broken the rules again. But this time round its artists from different major from mine. One must learnt the rules before breaking them, sometimes it will turn good, sometimes it doesn't. Who knows...
From what i see breaking the rules as an artist,designer or architecture is doing something different from others, something unique, uncommon, rare that people have never seen or thought of. So here are some few examples of a weird buildings by Frank Gehry.
